1. What we collect
When you use Stringle, we store the account details, business settings, quotes, invoices, customers and cost items you enter. We do not access your bank, payment processor or accounting software.
2. How we use it
Your data is used only to run the app — building quotes and invoices, tracking payments and showing your dashboard. We never share your private costs, margins or break-even figures with your customers.
3. Where it lives
Your data — account details, business settings, quotes, invoices, customers and cost items — is stored on servers operated by Base44 (the platform Stringle is built on). Base44’s servers are currently located in the United States. Data is encrypted at rest and transmitted over an encrypted connection.
Because Base44 operates the database and infrastructure that run Stringle, Base44’s staff can access stored data in order to operate and maintain the service. Your costs, margins and break-even figures are never shown to your customers — that separation is enforced in Stringle’s code — but they are not hidden from the platform that hosts them.
Outside of hosting and operating the service, the third parties that may receive your data are the email provider used to send messages from the app and, when payments are enabled, Stripe (your subscription billing). You can export a full backup at any time from Settings, and you can delete your data when you leave.
4. Customer documents
Quotes and invoices you send to your customers are generated as PDFs and shared directly by you. Stringle does not email your customers on your behalf and does not retain their contact details separately from the records you create.
